Stitch it, don’t ditch it by joining the Swanage Repair Café at Sandy Hill Arts.\nGot a favourite jacket that you can’t wear because it’s got some stitching loose? Been meaning to fix that old toaster but have just never got round to it? Got some old furniture that you just can’t bring yourself to throw away? Then bring them along to the Swanage Repair Café at Sandy Arts on 9th July. You’ll meet some experienced and proficient seamstresses, joiners, electricians and engineers who are only too happy to impart their skills and experience to help you fix all the things you still love. From sewing a button on a cardigan or soldering an old radio to reupholstering an old chair, our experts will soon turn you into Masters of Mend!\nBasically the group will use the Sandy Hill classroom (or outdoors if it’s sunny) to run repair workshops for people to re-use and recycle. There will be hot and cold beverages available and some tasty snacks to keep you going. The event is free so please turn up anytime between 10am and 4pm ready to get a fix…\n\n
