With seven albums and five books to her name, Emily Maguire is a British singer-songwriter, composer, poet, multi-instrumentalist and award-winning mental health advocate. She has had three singles playlisted on Radio 2 and toured extensively with the likes of American legend Don McLean, Dr Hook and Eric Bibb, playing many major concert halls and theatres across the UK.
Known for her thought-provoking lyrics and highly emotive songs “bathed in raw emotional power” (Guitarist Magazine), Emily has a remarkable, inspiring story to tell and has been featured many times in interviews on BBC Radio including Radio 2’s Good Morning Sunday and Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, Front Row and Midweek. She has sung her songs for many mental health hospitals and groups, work which in 2019 won her the Mogens Schou Award for Public Service and Advocacy.

Emily is supported at Sandy Hill Arts by singer-songwriter Jody Prewett. As the former lead singer and guitarist of the acclaimed band, Trophy Wife, Jody Prewett’s music has travelled far and wide; he has performed at venues across Europe, performing in Sri Lanka and Japan as well as many prodigious UK venues such as Brixton Academy and The Forum. His music has also been featured on Radio 1, XFM and Channel 4 television.
As a soloist, Jody has already released an album of nature-inspired guitar instrumentals, ‘Trails’, and a collection of “ruminative folk numbers” called ‘River Songs’. Jody continues to strike out on his own distinctive path as a solo artist. He has been regularly impressing audiences with his inventive guitar playing,soulful vocals and striking lyrical imagery.
