Welcome to Sandy Hill Arts

A collaborative arts charity in Corfe, Dorset, bringing together artists and creatives from Purbeck and beyond through events, exhibitions and education.

Open seven days a week 10am – 5pm
Sandy Hill Lane, Corfe Castle, Dorset BH20 5JF

Visit our artistic hub in the Purbeck countryside to enjoy, support and be a part of our creative community.

Sandy Hill Arts charity formed in February 2021 to promote and develop the arts in Purbeck – both visual and performing. We run a rich programme of creative workshops, courses, events, and exhibitions.

We strive to create a space where art, creativity and communities can come together to evolve and flourish. Nestled in Corfe in the shadow of the iconic castle ruins, right next to the railway station, we have an ideal location to encourage and stimulate artistic endeavours in the area.

We are home to some 18 artists and makers with onsite studios, and our site also includes the Boilerhouse Gallery, showcasing resident artists’ work, available to buy.

We have a permanent exhibition or classroom space which is available for hire and is ideal for teaching courses and workshops.

Upcoming events and performance at Sandy Hill Arts

We’ve been busy growing our music and performance wing – from impromptu performances at #Sandyhillsaturdays to evening and weekend events – some ticketed, some free. In 2023 we received Arts Council England National Lottery Funding to support us in delivering some of these events.
