Bird House Willow Workshop with Laura Wilcox
What could be more idyllic than learning to weave a willow bird house while listening to the birds chirping?
During this workshop you’ll learn how to create this charming birdhouse using home grown willow and foraged materials in this 3 hour workshop.
We will be weaving up from a base made of English Ash. You will learn simple basket making techniques such as the three rod wale, pairing weave, English Randing, free weave and a Bind.
Suitable for beginners and children from 10 years upwards. Ticket price is £45 (including £5 materials).
Note: A good degree of manual dexterity and strength is needed for willow weaving. Participants may bring along their own sharp secateurs, but all tools will be provided.
