‘The Sound of Movement’ Contemporary Dance and Music Performance: POSTPONED
POSTPONED
Using a plethora of cues, parameters, predetermined music and invitations, The Sound of Movement ensemble have produced a methodology which allows musicians to be guided and informed in real time by dancers’ movement, and in turn, dancers to be guided by musicians through what and how they play. The workshop uses this methodology as the foundation to teach and refine key skills in performance, composition, improvisation, harmony, rhythm, choreography and movement skills, all brought to life in this evening performance.
The tutors have been cutting their teeth in the London jazz and dance scenes and whilst having only quite recently graduated from the top conservatoires in the country, they have performed at prestigious venues such as Ronnie Scotts and Sadlers Wells, just to name a couple!
