Frances Pollard

Frances Pollard set up Corfe Castle Pottery on site in 1999. Visitors are able to see a selection of her pots in the showroom above her workshop. Thrown on the wheel and fired to stoneware, her pots have an emphasis on decoration. 

Frances values the unique nature of her working environment, enjoying the backdrop of castle ruins, steam trains, and natural surroundings. She finds Sandy Hill Arts a stimulating environment in which to work with its community of artists.
