Collaged Relief Workshop with Lisa Berkshire

This hands-on session is tailored for enthusiasts eager to delve into the world of collaged relief artworks using hand-printing techniques and found textures. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, join us for a journey of creativity and self-expression.
No prior experience is needed—just bring your enthusiasm and a desire to explore the world of creative collaged relief art.
The workshop is on a theme of UK wildlife- including birds, native animals, flora and fauna. Being in such a beautiful location full of natural inspiration, it is going to be easy to be inspired! Lisa will be bringing plenty of reference materials to inspire image making but there is also plenty of opportunity to work on your own favourite creatures, trees and plants.
During this four hour course you will spend 1.5-2 hours making textures and then after a break,  you will get to design the collage artwork, looking at the colours and potential in your created textures before the cutting and putting together of the layers. For a half day workshop it would probably be a simple figure or creature on a simple background. I think it might be good to have a rough theme, such as animals in a woodland setting, so that we can go through making textures and colours at the same time (but everyone would do different textures I’m sure!)
