Cyanotype Workshops at Sandy Hill Arts

Cyanotype Workshop

Sandy Hill arts is delighted to present a range of workshops to get our summer’s education programme started. Our first workshops explore the Cyanotype – a Victorian camera-less photographic process that creates stunning, life size blue prints of plants and other objects.

These three hour beginner workshops are run for Sandy Hill Arts by local practitioner Jane Woods and take place outdoors in our delightful grounds opposite the railway station in Corfe Castle.

Art was my best subject at school and growing up on Exmoor gave me a love of nature and messing about outside. I wanted to go to art college but instead I turned down a job with the Foreign Office and became an estate agent!

After a long and successful career in the corporate world of pharmaceutical sales, I pursued my interest in coaching and facilitation with the NHS and the private sector, specialising in resilience, emotional wellbeing, trust, collaboration and positive change. I’m also a cancer coach for several cancer charities.

Some years ago I attended one of Richard’s cyanotype workshops and instantly fell in love with this magical and transformative photographic process. I now run sessions locally for the Art Workshop, Creative Beings in Devon and here at Sandy Hill Arts.

I also became an accredited ILM5 Coach, ILM Wellbeing Coach, Conversations Worth Having/Appreciative Inquiry Trainer and CBT practitioner and I like to combine the benefits of art, nature and wellbeing, where possible.
