Sandy Hill Arts presents DYLAN MORAN – 2 September
We are hugely excited to announce that award winning stand-up comedian, writer and actor, Dylan Moran is coming to Sandy Hill Arts. Get ready to buckle up for an unforgettable evening of comedic brilliance.
Recently back from touring his “We Got This” show across Europe, Australia and New Zealand, we are very lucky to have Dylan Moran at Sandy Hill Arts for this one-off show, commenting on the stupidity of being human, lockdown and his foray into song (there’ll be a piano), family life, and whatever magic he creates on the night … Unmissable and brilliant – come and see Dylan Moran LIVE at Sandy Hill Arts!
The Perrier Award winner has had huge success as both a writer and performer. He received a BAFTA and a Bronze Rose of Montreux for his Channel 4 sitcom Black Books. His film career has included the smash hit Rom-Com-Zom Shaun Of The Dead, Run Fat Boy Run and A Film With Me In It, and his stand-up shows have sold out across the world. Dylan Moran and his comedy are truly original. Not to mention hilarious.

Getting into the event
Our front of house desk will be welcoming ticket holders from 6pm. Please make sure that each attendee in your booking has a digital or physical copy of the booking confirmation. We will be checking first and last names with tickets. All ticket holders will receive a (dermatologically friendly) stamp on their hand to allow access to the marquee. Seating for the performance is unreserved and we will be filling up from the front so we recommend arriving early to secure your preferred spot. Our marshalls will be on hand to assist you in finding suitable seating. Please note that it will be a cool evening and there isn’t any heating inside the marquee so please dress accordingly. It will be dark so we recommend bringing a torch if you have one – there will be lighting in and around the site but there may be some areas that are darker as you leave the site.
Food and drink
The Salt Pig pop-up cafe will be open from 6pm – 7:30pm, serving food and hot drinks. They have told us they should be serving pulled pork bun, a meat and veggie chili, and a vegan curry.
Our bar will be open from 6pm until five minutes before the performance. It will reopen again at the end of the set and be open throughout the DJ set. There will be no food allowed in the marquee but there will be some tables and chairs outside. We kindly request that you refrain from bringing outside food or alcohol with you to the event.
Access
If you have any specific mobility requirements, please let us know in advance. There will be areas for wheelchair users within the marquee but it is important for us to know in advance so we can accommodate. There are two wheelchair accessible portable toilets on site for visitors to use.
Getting here and parking
There is strictly no parking on site at Sandy Hill Arts. There is free parking at the National Trust Castle View Welcome Centre – a 5 – 7 minute walk from Sandy Hill Arts. Once you have parked, take the second left (after the turning to Studland), just before the road climbs to the village square. Go under the railway bridge on the left and turn immediately right along the track leading to the Boilerhouse Gallery – not further up Sandy Hill Lane as Google Maps may encourage you to do. Look out for the signs! There is also more parking available in West Street Car Park, Hollands Cl, Corfe Castle, BH20 5HH.
If you have access needs and require parking on site please do email us at info@sandyhillarts.co.uk. We have very limited spaces.

Photography and video are strictly prohibited. Anyone recording or taking photos may be asked to leave. Please turn your mobiles off or on silent.
Hazards on site
Sandy Hill Arts is situated in a natural environment, and as such, there are certain hazards around the site, including a running stream. As it will be getting dark during the performance please exercise caution when navigating the site. We have taken measures to mark potentially hazardous areas, and there will be lighting to guide you around, as well as our wonderful volunteer marshals, but there are potential hazards and we therefore ask for all ticket holders to stay within the event area. Please note there are no dogs allowed.
Cancellation policy
If your plans change and you’re unable to attend the event, we kindly ask that you notify us at your earliest convenience. This will allow us to release your ticket to another person on our waiting list. We cannot issue refunds if you cancel less than 5 days before the event.
We’re really looking forward to seeing you on 2 September. If you have any questions, require further assistance, or need additional information, please do not hesitate to reach out to us on info@sandyhillarts.co.uk.
**** The Guardian
“His comedy takes on an existential dimension, as tubby, nicotine-starved, emasculated Moran comes to represent the struggles we all wage for meaning and connection”*
**** Evening Standard
“High-octane riffs from Irish master of grumpiness…spellbinding”
**** The Times
“In his heightened ideas and vocabulary, Moran compulsively swerves clichés as he builds up layers of laughs… funny and fascinating, and utterly deserving of his place in the modern classics’.
