This selection of paintings and other works by Swanage-based artist, Wendy Wharam, reflect her always playful and determined creative spirit as well as her intellectual curiosity for contemporary and traditional artforms.

Creative expression was at the heart of everything Wendy did: acting, Punch and Judy, painting, collage, beach-combing, singing, storytelling and poetry. Wendy looked avidly, deeply at the world, and reflected what she saw and felt with joyful exploration and energy.

Even when knocked back by a stroke, she continued creating, confronting the bogeyman head on, fearlessly, writing poetry and spending time painting in her beloved studio, with support from Tony, and her son, Nick.
