A Dawn Chorus Celebration

Sandy Hill Arts will be celebrating the dawn chorus with a morning of creative activities focusing on the beauty of birdsong and birds. Come and experience the magic of the dawn chorus on our site, from 5 am. Our wet woodland site will resound to the spring calls of a wide array of birds and RSPB volunteers will be on hand to help identify calls and offer their expert knowledge. Refreshments will be available from 5 am, for those who wish to be there at dawn. During the morning, there will be readings of bird poetry, musical performances on the theme, film soundscapes and an exhibition of bird and spring related art. In addition, acclaimed artist and ceramicist, Suna Imre, who notates birdsong spontaneously to create her beautiful artworks, will be running a workshop.
