Free Field Recording Workshop for young adults and adults

Field Recording & Sound Design

With Ezra Gray & Giles W Bennett

This workshop will explore the acts of listening and recording our environment. We encourage the participant to carefully select and record a palette of sounds to then be mixed into a composition.

We will explore recording equipment and methodologies related to field recording and sound design. We would like to encourage participants to think about the quality and nature of our soundscape, especially in the context of Dorset and what it means to live in this landscape.
The workshop is open to participants aged 15 and over. They will need to bring their own lunch as there is no food available on site. Suitable footwear and waterproofs are also necessary.
Young people under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult.
