Papermaking course with artist Ginny Carvisiglia (4 week course)
Enjoy a practical, interesting, and hands-on introduction to papermaking. Learn about the basic techniques and processes of papermaking during this four week course.
This course is suitable for beginners and is an introduction to making handmade paper without specialist equipment, using recycled paper and natural objects and dyes. You will learn the basics of this ancient craft, learning about using natural pigments, the use of inclusions and many other different decorative methods to create papers that can be used in bookmaking, collage pieces or just as a beautiful thing to keep.
We will use some of the finished papers to make a small rustic notebook in the last session of the course using sticks and string and natural found objects from the environment.

Thursday evenings 6-8pm
Dates : summer 2025, to be confirmed but provisionally starting Thursday 31 July and continuing on 7,14 and 21 August. Feel free to book and confirm your place – we will be happy to refund should dates change and not suit you.
