Susan Cox exhibition 18-24th August
Susan Cox studied Fine Art at Birmingham School of Art. Her love of figure drawing has always been her central obsession, along with her ability to allow unconscious narrative compositions to develop. She uses acrylic paint and more recently returned to oils, also experimenting with mixed media, particularly collage on canvas. She has a consistent theme of coastal /seascapes responding to the beauty of Dorset, with her regular visits to the family home in Swanage. The timelessness of the coast captures personal and family memories. She has a studio in SE London and exhibits in London and has had solo shows in Brazil and Istanbul. She has had her paintings exhibited with Thompsons Gallery in Marylebone. She will have a solo show titled ‘Emerging’ in Wells Cathedral in the South Cloisters in early September 2024. She has a Studio in SE London and works alongside this as an Art Teacher and Art Therapist and Reminiscence Arts Practitioner.
Private view Tuesday 20th August from 7-9pm, artist talk at 7.30pm. Free
