THE YOUTHSAYERS, supported by The Soothsayers

The Youthsayers is a free music project and registered charity based in South London, supporting young people through ensemble work and live performances since 2016.

Led by professional musicians Robin Hopcraft and Idris Rahman from the acclaimed group The Soothsayers, helping young people to develop their musical abilities alongside essential life skills, including leadership and self-assurance.

Our programme is open to everyone, free of charge, and accessible to both beginners and experienced musicians. Youthsayers have performed across the UK at festivals such as Womad, We Out Here, London Jazz Festival and shared their youth workshop programme with 100s of young people nationwide.

For this special performance at Sandy Hill Arts we will be presenting a combined band featuring current and former Youthsayers members as well project leaders Idris and Robin.  Expect energy, dynamics and a big afrobeat sound tinged with jazz and dub augmentations. Dance, listen and have your spirits lifted high.
